Depot at Hyde Park - Los Angeles, CA
Completed in 2023, The Depot at Hyde Park is a Mixed-Use Affordable Housing Complex consisting of 43 units, 100% affordable, LEED Gold housing community in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The development was specifically designed for victims of domestic violence. WCS provided construction management services to Co-Developers, GTM Holdings and WORKS.
88th & Vermont - Los Angeles, CA
This project was recognized as the Transformational Project of the Year by the Southern California Association of Non Profit Housing. Developed in a joint venture between Community Build and Women Organizing Resources Knowledge and Services (WORKS), the project provides housing for transitional-aged youth, veterans and low income families. The project also includes a 9000 square feet Youth and Community Services Facility. — 88th & Vermont was the first project in Los Angeles completed using Measure HHH funds and the first affordable housing project in Los Angeles to use incentives provided through the Transit Oriented Communities (TOC) ordinance.
T. Bailey Manor Apartments - Los Angeles, CA
Completed in October of 2017, T. Bailey Manor provides 46 units to homeless Veterans and Special Needs populations in Los Angeles. WCS provided Construction Management Services to Women Organizing Resources, Knowledge and Services (WORKS).
Teague Terrace Apartments - Los Angeles, CA
Construction was completed in Winter of 2015. WCS provided Construction Management Services to WORKS for this 56 unit Affordable Housing project designed for Veterans and others at risk of homelessness.
Scattered Developments - Los Angeles, CA
Weissman Construction Services provided a variety of services to Enterprise Communities for several projects in Los Angeles, Ca — including Leighton Townhouse (shown above), Avalon Condominiums, 67th Street Condominiums and Rockwood Townhomes. Responsobilities included entitlement consulting, project management for street improvements, construction close out, and managing homeowner association transitions.
Chancellor Hotel Apartments - Los Angeles, CA
Weissman was responsible for overseeing the correction of hundreds of health and safety code violations at this historic property. When finished, the assigned inspector for the Los Angeles Housing Department personally thanked Weissman for his “professionalism on completing such a task in restoring peoples lives to normalcy”.
Brentwood West Apartments - Los Angeles, CA
Weissman has substantially renovated 23 of the 32 units in this luxury, Brentwood area apartment building. The remaining units will be renovated as the units turnover.
Young Burlington - Los Angeles, CA
Weissman Construction Services provided Construction Management for the Young Burlington Apartments, a 21 unit project near downtown Los Angeles. The project, which was developed by Women Organizing Resources Knowledge and Services (WORKS), serves the Transitional Age At-Risk Youth Population.
Heritage Park Arcadia - Arcadia, CA
Weissman Construction Services provided Construction Management Services for SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners for this 54 unit apartment project in Arcadia, CA. The scope involved the “take-over” of the project mid construction.
Heritage Park Cathedral City - Cathedral City, CA
Weissman Construction Services managed the mid construction take over and completion of the project for Sun America Affordable Housing Partners. The project consists of 153 Affordable Senior Apartments.
Heritage Park - Glendale, CA
Weissman Construction Services provided construction management of this 52 unit apartment project in Glendale, CA. The scope involved a mid-construction “take-over” in order to complete the project on time and within budget.
The Benton - Fremont, CA
The Benton is a 322 unit transit oriented community located adjacent to the BART station in Fremont, California.. The project also included 15,000 square feet of store front retail, 22 Live/Work units, and a pedestrian BART path running through the project connecting the station with the Fremont Civic Center. The project was also unusual in that over 300 Native American remains and artifacts were discovered during site work operations. In addition to managing the construction activities, Weissman was also responsible for negotiating terms with the most likely Native American descendant which dictated the removal and re internment processes and guidelines. SunAmerica later sold this community to Archstone.
Richmond Village - Richmond, CA
Richmond Village Apartments (aka Easter Hill) is a 202 unit Hope VI project developed by McCormack Baron Salazar. Weissman oversaw construction activities for McCormack Baron Salazar for this project east of San Francisco.
Vista Sunrise Apartments - Palm Springs, CA
The Vista Sunrise Apartments in Palm Springs, California provides 85 units of low income housing. This project was developed by McCormack Baron Salazar and the Desert Aids Project, with the assistance of Riverside County and equity from SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners.
Triangle Square - Hollywood, CA
Triangle Square was developed by McCormack Baron Salazar along with its non-profit partner, GLEH (Gay Lesbian Elder Housing) in order to provide low-income housing to the gay and lesbian community. Weissman oversaw all construction activities for this 104 unit project.
